My name is Sarah-Jane, and I am the founder and lead vet here at Bluebell Vets.
I started Bluebell Vets with a clear goal: to create a community-based practice where pets, clients, and our team can truly get to know each other in a warm, relaxed environment. We endeavour to provide a familiar face in a comfortable space where no question is ever too small. While we prioritize making you feel at home, we are equally committed to maintaining an excellent standard of veterinary care using modern equipment and advanced techniques.
My love for animals started at a young age, growing up surrounded by animals in Naas Co.Kildare. I have been practicing as a vet for seven years, originally starting my career in the UK before returning home to Ireland. Since moving back, I’ve worked in various veterinary clinics and hospitals across Leinster, gaining invaluable experience and insight into the best ways to treat your pets. My specific clinical interests include senior pet care and emergency medicine.
Outside of the clinic, you’ll usually find me outdoors-whether I’m hiking, practicing yoga, or exploring nature.

I have been a Vet Nurse for over 4 years, but I have been surrounded by animals my whole life. Animals bring so much joy to our lives, and I truly love providing the best veterinary care I can to all my patients. Sometimes it’s the small things that make an animal feel better, even if it’s just treats and cuddles when they come in for a health check. Right now, I have two dogs – a bouncy cocker spaniel called Ringo, a quieter, more reserved older dog called Scout and a feisty cat called Pumpkin, and they make me smile and laugh all the time. I plan to continue studying and learning how to improve the veterinary care I can provide for all my patients.
